Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder by Kiss Me Organics - Review

All Day Energy with Increased Focus

Matcha provides 4 to 6 hours of mild steady energy as it acts as both a stimulant and a relaxant. This is ideal for focusing on whatever the day throws your way.

Metabolism Boost

Consuming matcha green tea can increase thermogenesis (the body's own rate of burning calories) from a normal 8%-10% of daily energy expenditure, to between 35% and 43% of daily energy expenditure.

Improved Skin Health

Scientists have discovered that Matcha Green Tea helps protect the skin from harmful UVrays, while improving blood flow and oxygen levels lifting the overall quality of the skin.

137 Times the Antioxidants of Brewed Green Tea

Antioxidants are essential as you age to boost your body's natural defenses against oxidation. Researchers have found that a high level of dietary antioxidants can prevent many age-related diseases.

My Review

There is a difference between drinking grade Matcha and ingredient grade Matcha. This is ingredient grade matcha.

Drinking grade is

My Instagram
  • Higher grade of Matcha
  • Naturally sweet
  • Smooth finish with little to no bitterness
  • Best enjoyed prepared with just water, if you cook with it or add other ingredients, the flavor is lost
Ingredient grade is

  • Bitter in flavor
  • Good mixed with other ingredients, flavors will balance
  • Typically made from older leaves that may have been exposed to sunlight longer
My Instagram

I made a "latte" first. I think this is when I realized that this was NOT drinking grade matcha. If it was, I would not have needed to add sugar to make this drinkable.

I put in one tablespoon of sugar, more than I would normally put in any other drink and I gagged trying to swallow it. I wound up dumping it down the drain rather than drinking it.

I hope it works better for baking!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
